Tarryn Chudleigh from Cap Town South Africa, is still junior, but she competes in WQS for the first year. To be honest I didn't know south african's freak Tarryn Chudleigh, aka " Nemo ", before the Swatch Pro Girl. So I met her in Hossegor during this sexy event, and WHAT A DISCOVERY ! This young gun is the most stylish girl of the entire Women world Tour. Moreover she is lovely, funny and talented. She got amazing manovers in the water, combo of carving and aerial surfing. But that's not enough...she is interesting in fashion (she designs her own Billabong models), graphic design and art... Considering her surfing her goal is simple, The Dream Tour. Tarryn Chudleigh, is the new South African jewel maybe the next Jordy Smith and she is a real threat for the female Dream Tour. But ... Who is Tarryn Chudleigh ?  Freaksurf Mag :Nemo ! But where does come from this nickname ? Tarryn Chudleigh : Got that nickname on a billabong girls trip! I run really funny apparently, my right arm kinda flops around besides me, so all my friends started calling me emo nemo! Because of that movie Nemo and EMo because I painted my nails black. Most people just call me Chuddles now though When, with who, did you start surfing and why? My mom’s friend started taking her for surfs, I would tag along finally getting in the water on a freezing cold day, I was hooked on saltwater in my veins ever since Where are you actually living? I live in Cape Town South Africa . But it hardly feels like it. Cape Town is my Home but I pretty much live on the road Why did you choose to be pro surfer ? I fell deeply inlove with surfing and I am naturally a super competitive person so I guess one thing led to another.  Do you practice other extreme sport ? I suck at all other sports no hand I coordination , I tried skateboarding in a Park last year in Hawaii. My friend Malakia who is an amazing skater gave me a board, but I only really managed to give myself a couple scrapes and bruises What is your Biggest Achievement ? My best result so far is my 9th in France at the Sawtch Pro.But I think honestly my biggest achievement is to be able to say that I am living my dream and not to scared to actually go out and try You got style, in and out the water, for sure, how do you discribe your surfing ? Do you have favorite maneuver ? I don’t really know. With my surfing I just try keep it fluid and try do some solid turns, I think when your relaxed and having fun that’s when you look your best in and out of the water. I don’t have a specific favourite manouvre I just love riding waves How did you first get involved with Billabong and what is your relationship with this major company? Billabong South Africa have been my main sponsors since 2003. They picked me up at a grom contest I was a little surf rat trying to surf the boys division. Now I am heading there 2010 winter add campaign and even designing a couple Tshirts. I have a great support team with my other sponsors aswell vonzipper eyewear, Nixon ,DC shoes,Monster energy and Hutchinson Handcrafted who shapes me AMAZING boards.  Who inspire you the most on Tour ? It’s a toss up between silvana Lima and Steph Gilmore. They are both phenomenal surfers who push the boundaries of girls surfing What's your mum's place in your life ? My mom is pretty much my biggest supporter along with the rest of my family. I have an amazing Dad and Sister. My mom and dad pretty much organize my entire life because I am pretty useless. They also take turns to travel with me. Its always nice to have somebody that you know supports you no matter what the situation Who are your best friends to travel with ? I love travelling with any of the other south African girls, This year I have been cruising with Chantelle Rautenbach who rips and is super fun to hang with . but one of my best friends in the entire world Heidi Palmboom is gonna give the wqs a go next year so I am excited to travel with her!  Life on tour: the good and the bad aspects ? Good aspects: meeting new awesome people, exploring countries and cultures, learning about real life and SURFING amazing beaches,Bad aspect: airports, lay overs, lost luggage , stress, MONEY(exchange rate sucks for us Africans)

Tell us about your last trip in France and the Swatch Girl Pro and your big performance during the event ? My Trip to France was really great, despite the temperature being minus a hundred degrees. I had fun and a had some real goodluck in the contest! I might consider moving to France one day. I absolutely love it Seems there is lot of fun, fashion and photo shoots on tour ? The Girls are getting a lot more publicity than in the past which is great because the more the sport gets out to the public eye the bigger and better the contests can get.  For my teamate, you are, and for far the most stylish girl on Tour, with your real and proper style. Is your image and Fashion important to you ? Haha I never really thought myself as stylish? I try pretty hard to look like I don’t care how I look. But Fashion is important to me. I hate when people dress badly, everyone has there own personal style but gosh some of my friends get it SO wrong Boys tshirts, laddered stockings, moonboots and nerdy glasses. Is that the perfect style for you? That is what I am comfortable wearing. But im pretty spontaneous next week I might completely annex those items of clothing from my cupboard! Some girls on tour are fashion but got no style is there a differences between style and fashion for you ? There is definitely a difference. You can wear all the top fashions but just not have the charsma or attitude to pull it off. If you got yourself some style you can pretty much wear ANYTHING and make it look fashionable Tell me about your passion for Art, Fashion and Graphic design.. When I grow up one day (which is hopefully no time soon) I hope to study either Graphic Design or Become a Clothing designer. Art inspires me on so many different levels. I love all aspects of it. From painting to music . I am definitely on the more alternative side of it all aswell. Also love photography. Gosh I cant even describe the feeling a beautiful black and white photo gives me.  It would be great to have Tarryn 's signature models, would you interested in working on designs or some stuff like that with Billabong or other companies ? Well I have already designed an illustration on a tshirt for Billabong which was a free give away if you bought a billabong Bikini. But im really excited for my Tshirt which is coming out in the 2010 Billabong Summer range. Are you the designer of your boards drawings ? I know that your guilty pleasure is chocolate, what about our french nutella ? Oh my world I could not get enough of the French Nutella , I would go just before I heat and stick a spoon in the jar!! I felt like quite a little fatty but its just to good  Your on top with your blog, one of the most interesting with Erica's one. A few words on LIKE SERIOUS, and its name ? Well my Blog like seriously was actually something I started last year . my mom was so over me travelling and never telling her long tall stories about what I was doing while away that I decided to just write a blog so everyone that cared could see a little bit of my strange and twisted thoughts and expeditions around the world. For some reason this year more people have been reading it. Which is kinda weird I have to watch what I say now haha. And no for everyone that has asked me I do not take drugs before putting up posts Trip of your dream ? I would love to go to indo with a couple of my best mates and just have a jol surfing good waves and partying . I have never been to indo . also I am very interested to visit morocco I have heard the waves are amazing and the country breathtaking  Goal for this year ?
