What do you think about the young guns of the dream tour Dane, Jeremy, and JORDY, are they example to prove that young guys can be impressive and consistent facing the ASP residents? They´re great surfers, they have expressive styles, perform crazy turns, new maneuvers and airs on tour. It's great for the sport!  Your surfing style seems close to Adriano's style, you boost Airs, no fear in the big BARRELS ? Yes, of course. We came from a place where there are not many strong barrels, but we travel and work a lot to find the evolution. I like big barrels and working to surf better every time I surf one wave like this. How do you explain that some brazilians become big chargers, Bruno Santos, Adriano de SOUZA? Brazil is not Teahuppo? Like I said before, we work for evolution. That’s the job result . 2009 was Brazil's time ! You'vee qualified for the dream tour, Adriano took the 5 th place, and Adriana Lima was second on the girl world tour ! And what about the groms Medina, ibelli... Adriano and Silvana are the reference. The new generation needs to follow them. We don’t just have Gabriel and Caio. They´re living a great moment and know what they need to do, but we have more kids. It is said that there is some racism against brazilians , your opinion ? I don´t like talking about that, I want to keep working on my focus. What's your ultimate goal ? World top surfer and a happy life. Who are you travelling with ? With Miguel Pupo. Your crew for free surfing ? All the guys from my place on Natal and Guaruja, also Gilmar Silva, Charlie Brown and any more guys from Guarujá…. Tell us about your best trip ? Easy, it was the Carolines Island with Adriano de Souza for an Oakley production. Your opinion on the new world tour ? To me, it is not different, because it's new and a challenge for me.

Jadson Andre, coming from Brazil, is one of those freaky guys with Owen Wright, able to win events in both wqs and Junior competitions. He has brillantly qualified for the new dream tour and can be a real threat for the Tour residents. I met Jadson in France and he is a pretty cool and very intelligent guy. This new comer on the Dream Tour has to improve against the top ranking surfers but no doubt he got the total package, with huge manovers, powerfull carve and crazy barrels. Here is J.A.D.S.O.N.  Freaksurf Mag : Where are you from? Jadson Andre : I come from Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil Northeast coast. When and where did you discover surfing ? Outhere in Natal with my uncle boards. You're brazilian why surfing rather than playing Football or capoera, do you practice them? I love soccer……. If I wasn't a surfer, I could easy be a soccer player. Maybe I´d be playing with Pato on AC Milan at the moment…hahaha |
It was not like a story. This year my wet suit was orange because all photographes and video makers said that this color is amazing. It's hard to miss anything, but I really didn't like this color.  Is it hard to be pro surfer when you come from Brazil ? Yes, but if you work hard and make the right things it's easier. I know that I was lucky to start working with a great guy. He knew a lot about what is needed to be done and put me on the right way. |

Can you tell us about your meeting with your sponsor Oakley ? Many years ago my manager Luiz Pinga came to Natal and saw me surfing. He put me on the team, it's funny because I didn´t know he was there to see me. I knew this history just after I signed me with Oakley. It was like 8, 9 years ago.  Do you have good contact with the other team riders? I have a good relationship with all the Oakley team riders and with the others guys too.  Whose surfer inspire you the most ? Kelly Slater is the man… but other guys expire me too, mainly goofy footers, such as The Hobgoods. I also like Danilo Costa and Adriano de Souza. What was the story of this orange wetsuit you wore 2 years ago during the Quik Pro France? |
Tell us about this past year, you were the man, with Owen Wright, victories in both Junior and Wqs comp ! Owen is a great guy and a fantastic surfer. Competing against him is good because he grounds up the level every time he surfs. |

I know that I need to continue to work to find more evolution on my surfing and improve my focus. The job never ends….. Last year was very good for me because I got the opportunity to show my surf and myself to the world.  Now I think lots of people around the world know who is Jadson. This is very important, not just because of this! But to prove to myself I'm working in the right direction. And the results came because I've worked in the right way. |
I need to work a lot, i have a big inttention to make a good job and find an evolution every day. Your favorite : Board : 5"11 squash shape Ricardo Martins. Now, the crazy one! Imagine its 2010, JADSON ANDRE is rookie of the year and rank 2 behind King Kelly, tell us about this amazing season!
