Lagunas CA, Friday, September 2 nd - Yesterday Shawn, Steveo and myself went in to Lagunas, as the swell was mondo and this particular spot can really hold the size.

The tide was sorta high so we went and looked at a few other spots that might work better with the higher tide, they weren't any better, so we headed back to Lagunas.

It was big and a bit unruly.

Mostly the bodyboarders were dominating, until Bobby Martinez showed up. By the time he had suited up and paddled out, he basically, had it to himself with his bodyboarder friend, Jay, who also rips. They had sorta a short sesh, maybe an hour and Bobby showed why he is one of the best surfers in the world.

We told Bobby to wait until the afternoon when the tide was low, but he had to jamb home to pack for New York, and he only had time for one surf.
