He told about his rookie position, the life on Tour, the new format and his position for the Hurley Pro at his backyard the legendary beach of Trestles
Hey buddy, how is it to be a rookie on tour ?
Rookie year has been fun. For me its been a big learning curve !
To the level of competition as well as the stratigec side of things !
I do feel I'm learning quickly and am finding my spot on there !
Does it change your life ?
In many ways it does, cause your on the rode a bit more.
I always try and find my time to rest and regroup at home though ! Those are my little vacations !
Is the surfing level is like you expected ?
The level is defiantly what I was prepared for, but you can surf a good heat and somebody still gets better waves and edges you out.
So there's a lot that has to come together to have a big event!
What are the good and bad aspects ?
The destination are by far the best as well as the waves.
It just sucks when you have to wait along time to surf your heats ! Tough to stay mentally there !
Best teamates to hang on ?
Well I have traveling with the hobgoods, so they were never gonna fall off but defiantly helped me with some of my success!
They have so much knowledge of the game and that really helps !!
Then there Pat guduaskas, stoked he's still on !
It's the Cutoff on Tour after Teahuppo, we've seen some legend getting out, Mick Cambo, Neco, Deano but also rookie, like Tanner, Nate...

The new format should be awesome !

Last comp was Teahuppo, have you ever been there before and your opinion on wave ?
Teahuppo was cool, waves never got to crazy but it was defiinatly a wave with power !
Really enjoyed the people and atmosphere !

If I aint surfing HB I'm prolly at trestles so ya, love the wave a lot and seems to fit my surfing well !

Well, the intensity rises at lowers and every competitor knows what's on the line, you gotta be ready to push every turn as hard as you can and be committed !
Let's talk about this victory at huntington on the wqs ?
Huntington will always be a memorable one for me.
To be at home and win not just one, but two and back to back !
Its a huge feet for me and the city !
Final one, where does come from all those colors on the Hurley wetsuit !
Hurley makes a boardshort called the Geo, with those bright colors ! Sine the water was cold this year and we couldn't wear trunks, they made matching suits towards the Geo !!
