Globe, a leader in the action sports apparel and footwear world, is proud to announce longtime Globe team rider and current ASP World #3, Taj Burrow, has agreed to a new multi-year contract. After nearly 10 years of working together, Taj has become synonymous with the brand and inking a new footwear deal underscores Globe’s commitment to the highest levels of performance in the sport.

“Yep, I’m really happy to continue riding for Globe,” said Burrow from his home in Yallingup, Western Australia. “I’ve been with them for so long, and we’ve had some really good times making movies and hosting events. They’re so supportive of my career and the direction I’ve gone. I couldn’t imagine not riding for Globe.”

Over the years Taj has been instrumental in the production of Globe’s award-winning films New Emissions of Light and Sound(2008), Secret Machine (2007) and Somewhere Anywhere Everywhere (2004). As he’s known for his aerial artistry and own video productions, Taj’s contribution to the Globe productions comes second to none.

“We’re obviously stoked to continue the relationship we’ve built with Taj,” said Globe’s Surf Marketing Manager. Brian Robbins. “He’s so dynamic, with his free surfing performances, his tour results, his editorial and his commitment to the brand. He represents Globe perfectly and will be heavily involved with everything we do going forward.”

Taj’s new contract comes just in time for the delivery of his new signature sandal, the Taj360. In accord with Taj’s technical surfing, the Taj360 is Globe’s most technical sandal, featuring a full-length air cushion mid-sole for lightweight comfort and superior support.
